How much notice do we need for a cake?

For wedding cakes we like to have 3-6 months notice. 

 

For special celebration cakes 3-4 weeks notice would be required. 

 

We understand that sometimes last minute events come up. Please don’t hesitate to contact us as we will try our best to accommodate. 

How do I place an order?

You can place an order via email at info@sweetlystyled.com.au, by phone on 0432 226 258 or in person by booking a consultation.

Just let us know how many servings you need, desired date for pick up and provide us any inspirational images you wish to use.

 

Can I come in for a Consultation?

We offer a complementary 1 hour consultation to help you achieve the perfect cake for your event. 

 

If you are tight for time, we can also have a Skype consultation or you can visit our studio based in the northern suburbs of Melbourne where we can discuss all of the finer details. 

How do I design my cake?

At Sweetly Styled, we aim to produce products to the highest of standards. We require some pictures of inspiration and together we can create the perfect design for your event.

Can I request to have some of your yummy Cake tastings?

Cake tastings are made to order once a month. 

 

We offer 6 beautiful flavours wrapped up and ready to go.

 

Our tastings boxes are $40 each. If you wish to proceed with your order, the $40 will be credited on your final quote. 

 

 

How do I make Payment?

In order to secure a booking with Sweetly Styled, we require a 50% retainer to lock in the date for your event.

 

Final payment should be made on the week of your event and this can be done via bank transfer. 

Do you offer delivery or can I pick up?

Delivery is definitely an option or you can pick it up from our studio location. We do recommend that larger tiered cakes be delivered as this is a complex and delicate task.

 

Delivery cost is based on the number of kilometres from our studio to the event destination. Every cake is delivered on the day of the event. If delivery is required, we will arrange a time with your venue for drop off so please provide us with your event coordinators name and contact details.

If pick up is required, we do recommend a flat surface in your vehicle. For example: your car boot or the passenger seat floor.

How do I transport my cake?

When opting for pick up, we recommend to place the cake in the boot or on the floor of the car. We highly recommend it sits on a level surface and not on a car seat.

Once you take possession of your cake, many factors relating to its care and transportation may result in it's quality being compromised.

 


How do I store my cake?
 

For fondant cakes, we recommend to leave it out at room temperature (around 23 degrees) and should be stored away from direct sunlight and heat.


For buttercream cakes, we recommend it to be refrigerated and brought to room temperature for a couple of hours before serving.

Please note: there may be plastic or wooden dowels within your cakes to assist with stability during transportation and strucural intgrity. They have been sterilised with alcohol and regarded as food safe. When you cut your cake please remove and dispose of them.

Unfortunately I need to cancel an order?

 

In the unfortunate event that you need to cancel an order, a refund will be provided if cancellation is made at least 10 days prior to the event date, less a $40 admin fee. No refunds will be provided should you cancel your order within 10 days of the event.

If anything has been purchased e.g. cake toppers or edible rice paper, unfortunately these can’t be refunded.
